It started snowing about an hour ago and our road is already covered. Wonder if we’re having choir tonight?

It is the first day of the semester at William and Mary but my work doesn’t start until tomorrow when I teach a class and then have my first Leadership class. I worked on my speech today and finished the first chapter of my curriculum textbook but can’t seem to really settle down into anything. Thomas Keneally’s short biography of Abraham Lincoln is sitting beside me so maybe I can make a cup of tea and read the afternoon away.

I should update my book list as I finished the Abigail Adams biography by Lynne Withey as well as a very interesting biography of Crazy Horse by Joseph Marshall III, a Sioux Indian. I may end up using Crazy Horse for my leader, especially because Marshall does a good job of defining his leadership qualities. Marshall’s website includes video clips and other writings.

I am in a dangerous place right now in terms of the curriculum class because after reading the first chapter I have added about 4 or 5 pretty expensive books to my shopping carts at Barnes & Noble AND Amazon. I’m going to ask the prof which ones he thinks I should actually own.
